Aspect Works Director Jason Petrait has served as an apprenticeship leader and collaborator for non-profits, government agencies and labor unions, delivering results that include:

  • Assisting WeTrain Washington in the development of the nation’s first Fishmongers Registered Apprenticeship, writing standards, liaising with Washington’s Department of Labor & Industries and preparing standards documentation.
  • Co-chairing the Joint Recruitment and Retention Committee, under the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council.
  • Building the Counselor’s Guide to Apprenticeship for K-12 Guidance Counselors to help students enter apprenticeship.
  • Collaborating with the Washington Association for Community Health to build credited courses for Washington’s first Medical Assistant apprenticeship.
  • Supporting Washington’s two leading manufacturing apprenticeships, AJAC and the Machinists Institute, with data, collaboration and insight into the educational institutional landscape.
  • Writing and facilitating a winning $1.3 million grant proposal to expand apprenticeship for young adults in healthcare, construction, manufacturing, culinary and public services.
