Apprenticeship Building America Round 2 (WA)

Career Connect Washington announces round 2 of funding for Registered Apprenticeships and Recognized Pre-apprenticeships.

Washington’s Employment Security Department (ESD) and Career Connect Washington have announced round 2 of funding for Apprenticeship Building America (ABA), a grant from the Department of Labor that seeks highly qualified entities in Washington State capable of creating, expanding or enhancing Registered Apprenticeship and recognized pre-apprenticeship programs. 

Grants will be awarded to programs that can strengthen, modernize, expand and diversify high-demand and high-growth industries, enabling workers to earn while they learn and get on a pathway to the middle class. 

Approximately $2,400,000 is available this round, with $100,000 to $150,000 available per award. A Notice of Intent to Bid is due November 1st, and proposals are due December 1st via email. A Bidders Conference will be held October 30th from 11:00-12:30 Pacific via Zoom. Questions may be submitted in writing with the Notice of Intent to Bid due November 1st, and answers will be posted by November 8th.
