CEDEFOP’s Call For VET Expertise Proposals

Successful applicants will join ReferNet, the main source of information on national VET systems.

Officially published January 19th and due February 26th, a new round of funding is available to join ReferNet, the authoritative source for information on vocational education and training, skills and qualifications. Overseen by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop), ReferNet provides up-to-date information on policy developments in VET, lifelong learning and employment issues.

Eligible countries for this round are Czechia, Ireland, Malta, Spain, Sweden and Iceland. The call intends to select one applicant from each who will sign a 45 month framework partnership agreement. Funding ranges from €23,615 to €43,620 based on country, and acts as a supplement to local or private contributions. The contribution from this funding may not exceed 70% of the eligible costs.

ReferNet also facilitates the flow of information between the EU and individual countries, ensuring mutual awareness of developments in vocational education across the continent. Through raising the visibility of VET and disseminating information on skills and qualifications, ReferNet partners gain access to a stronger evidence base for the importance of vocational education and training.

As referenced in the call, “Cedefop supports the promotion, development and implementation of the Union policy in the field of vocational education and training as well as skills and qualifications policies by working together with the Commission, Member States and social partners.”
