Centres of Vocational Excellence due 7 May

Erasmus+ is developing and establishing international networks of Centres of Vocational Excellence.

With the goal of creating skills ecosystems for local innovation, regional development and social inclusion, Erasmus+ will provide a total of €56 million in funding from the European Commission to operate Centres that will work at both the national and international levels:

National – Create skills ecosystems for local innovation, regional development and social inclusion.

International – Bring together Centres that share a common interest, whether that’s sector, societal challenge or approach to outreach, quality or effectiveness.

The grant call outlines three activities that will be supported:

  1. Teaching and learning: provide people with labor market relevant skills, implement lifelong learning, develop curricula and qualifications, professional development or establishing QA mechanisms.
  2. Cooperation and partnership: create business-education partnerships, promoting research and innovation and fostering entrepreneurship.
  3. Governance and funding: Foster effective vocational training and education governance, create skills ecosystems and develop sustainable finance models.

Funders expect to see a long-term action plan that includes projects and program sustainability beyond the life of the grant.

Award criteria include project relevance, quality of project design and implementation, partnership quality and impact.

With prior experience in developing short-term vocational training programs, apprenticeships, and certificates and degrees, we at Aspect Works are here to act as thought partner, writer or editor for your application. Get in touch below.
