DOS’s Bureau Of Educational and Cultural Affairs will make one grant of $5.625 million, with applications due February 18th.

Open to public and private higher ed institutions and non-profits, the Community College Initiative (CCI) Program is designed to fund one cooperative agreement that will bring foreign emerging leaders to the US for intensive programs at accredited community colleges.

The program focuses on building technical and professional skill, “while deepening participants’ understanding of the United States, its people, and its values.” Participants will study for up to one year in the US, and the content of programs and participating countries will align with both US foreign policy and emerging globoal workforce demands.
