Aspect Works Director Jason Petrait hosts CMs, building DACUM chart for industry and education.
Over three intensive sessions with Construction Managers in Washington State, Aspect Works Director Jason Petrait facilitated a group representing industry across Washington State, including union and non-union represetatives, all experts in the field. The result: a DACUM Research Chart for Construction Managers.
“It was a great group,” reports Jason. “They brought expertise and insight, and as importantly, an understanding of how to present how critical their role is on the job site. They understood quickly how the DACUM chart could be used by educational institutions and bought in. It shows in the chart.”
Overseen by the Construction Center of Excellence and funded by the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, the DACUM is one piece of a larger initiative aimed at updating Construction Management curriculum across the state, ensuring that community and technical colleges offer current, relevant training that prepares students to enter the world of work, in this case the complex, safety-focused and high-stakes world of large commercial construction sites.
