The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor will fund $740k in budget transparency projects.
Due January 13th, with one award available, the US Department of State, as part of its Fiscal Transparency Innovation Fund, will help governments and civil society organizations to promote budget transparency.
Proposals that include completeness, reliability and the public availability of budget and debt obligation data are likely to looked upon more favorably. Transparency in natural resource extraction licensing, tendering and procurement are also priorities.
The period of performance ranges between 10 and 24 months, with an option to extend, and the project is anticipated to begin in September of 2025. Eligible applicants cindlue non-profits, think tanks, educational instituions and international and governmental organizations. No cost sharing or match is required.
Proposals are required to include an SF-424 and 424A, summary page, proposal of up to 10 pages, a budget justification, CVs, letters of support and an indirect cost rate agreement.
