$200 Million available for applicants who receive approval of a phase 1 Recompete Plan
Phase 1 applications for the Economic Development Administration’s Recompete funding opportunity close October 5th. WIth funding from the CHIPS and Science Act, grants will help, “alleviate persistent economic distress and support long-term comprehensive economic development and job creation in eligible areas.”
EDA intends to award between $6 million and $12 million total for strategy development, and intends to approve at least 20 plans to move forward for phase two. Expect to hear about phase 1 winners and the phase 2 NOFO in winter 2023.
