The 19 Tech Hub consortia designated in October 23 are eligible to apply for $220 million.
With grant uncertainty all around and funded projects getting cancelled regularly, it still appears that the Department of Commerce’s Economic Devleopment Administration is moving forward with funding some of the 19 applicants that were designated in October 2023, have received Consortium Accelerator Awards and have not received other EDA Tech Hubs implementation funds. $220 million is available and applications are due by November 7th.
Tech Hubs seek, “to strengthen U.S. economic competitiveness and national security through place-based investments in regions with the assets, resources, capacity, and potential to become globally competitive in the technologies and industries of the future within approximately 10 years, and for those industries, companies, and the jobs they create to start, grow, and remain in the United States.”
