FY24 Good Jobs Challenge

US Economic Development Administration opens $25 million, with applications due September 27th.

Targeting jobs that advance industries key to US economic competitiveness, the Good Jobs Challenge is offering another round of funding focused on roles that do not require a four year degree. The notice of funding opportunity calls out the implementation of training in advanced energy, biotech, robotics and semiconductors and focus areas.

Like opportunities from DOL, this grant prioritizes worker voice by partnering with labor unions and worker-serving organizations and highlights serving workers that have been adversely impacted by technological changes.

EDA intends to award 5-8 grants ranging between $1 million and $8 million. Eligible applicants include economic development districts, Tribes, governments, higher education and non-profits. For-profits are not eligible.
