FY25 AmeriCorps Grants

Program continues to improve lives, strengthen communities and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering.

Another round of AmeriCorps funding is available, with applications due January 23rd, 2025, successful applicants notified in mid-April and awards issued in July. This round of AmeriCorps priortizes organizations that serve communities with concentrated poverty, rural communities, tribal communities, and historically underrepresented and underserved individuals.

Programming may include access to mental health and substance use recovery services, improving the quality of life for veterans, promoting environmental stewardship or supporting civic bridgebuilding.

Available funds and award amounts depend on annual appropriations. Awards will be 3 years, and can be fixed-amount awards or cost reimbursable. Match is required for cost reimbursement grants. Fixed price grants do not require a match, but AmeriCorps does not provide all the resources necessary to operate a program.

Eligible applicants include Institutions of higher education, local governments, school districts, nonprofits, states territories and tribes, State Service Commissions and and public health departments.
