National Apprenticeship Week

10th anniversary celebrations of National Apprenticeship Week kick off November 17th.

With a theme of ’10 Years of Engagement, Expansion, and Innovation’ this year’s National Apprenticeship Week is set to be the largest and best celebration yet of the life-changing impacts of Registered Apprenticeship across the United States.

It’s not just apprentices who have benefitted from apprenticeship—employers, labor organizations and partners increasingly play meaningful roles in apprenticeship expansion. Whether it’s a community-based organization providing wrap-around support services or an education institution providing Related Technical Instruction, it takes partnerships and the building of community to ensure the success of apprenticeship in fields as various as construction, IT, healthcare, manufacturing and more.

Like previous years, stakeholders across the country will host events showcasing the value of Registered Apprenticeship in strengthening the economy, developing a skilled workforce, creating career pathways and advancing equity. Events will showcase programs, facilities and apprentices themselves. See the events page at apprenticeship.gov to find out what’s happening near you.

Each day of National Apprenticeship Week highlights a different facet of this gold-start workforce development program:

  • Monday: Youth and Young People Apprenticeship Day
  • Tuesday: Registered Apprenticeship in New and Emerging Industries and Around the Globe
  • Wednesday: Expanding Registered Apprenticeship to Underserved Populations
  • Thursday: Women in Apprenticeship
  • Friday: Federal Apprenticeship and Veterans in Apprenticeship
