NGO Financial Management Capacity Building

$1 million for a project that promotes the sustainability and resiliency of non-governmental organizations.

Announced last week and due March 7th, the Department of State’s Bureau of Democracy Human Rights and Labor (DRL) is offering funding to assist NGOs engaged in democracy and human rights work in, “difficult or sensitive environments, globally, by increasing their financial, administrative and program management capacities.” The funded project will promote the sustainability and resiliency of NGOs.

The NOFO outlines two objectives:

1: Plan and organize six large group workshops/trainings, bringing together 40-50 NGO representatives that will train on financial management standards, internal controls, procurement, audit, HR and managing federal requirements, all with the consideration that grantees work in difficult operating environments.

2: Conduct 15-20 virtual individual NGO assessments per year that includes assessment of policy and procedure, documentation review and gap analysis for recommendation reports.

Grantmakers expect that successfully completed objectives will lead to reforms as well as the potential for sustainability beyond DRL funding. This grant’s period of performance is 24 months.

As expert online and in-person facilitators as well possessing a long history in virtual evaluation, we would be pleased to assist your organization in putting together a successful application. Get in touch below.
