Program Builder Funding Round 13

Career Connect Washington seeks industry-aligned programs for career-connected learning opportunities.

With bids due to Washington’s Employment Security Department, Career Connect Washington (CCW) intends to fund entities in targeted counties and industry sectors across Washington that can build or expand Career Launch, Career Prep or Career Explore programs. A total of $4 million is available with grants ranging from $100,000 to $175,000. Performance is set to begin in February 2025 and bids are due October 16th.

The announcement notes that this round of funding varies from previous rounds to allow for a broader range of bidders to win contracts, leading to a greater diversity of programs and geographies.  Sections 4 and 5 go into detail on the new format and evaluation criteria.

Career Connect’s mission and vision give a good overall sense of what they’re looking for: “Our vision is that every young adult in Washington will have multiple pathways toward economic self-sufficiency and fulfillment, strengthened by a comprehensive state-wide system for career connected learning. In order for every young adult to succeed, we must intentionally focus on populations kept furthest from opportunity, especially students of color, Indigenous students, low-income students, rural students, and students with disabilities.”
