Upskilling Construction Professionals In Europe

BUILD UP Skills interventions for building decarbonisation due 19 September.

Sponsored by the Programme for the Environment and Climate Action, the BUILD UP Skills initiative seeks to support upskilling construction professionals as the renovate high performance buildings and construct nearly Zero-Energy Buildings. Training and qualification interventions aligned with the EU Green Deal are required to meet carbon neutrality goals.

The funding opportunity identifies twin objectives:

  • To increase the number of skilled building professionals at all levels of the building design, operation and maintenance value chain.
  • To create a thriving community of practitioners actively involved in upskilling activities for building professionals, which will support the large-scale roll-out of successful approaches across Europe.

These objectives align with broader partnership goals in the construction sector, where at least 25% of the workforce will be upskilled or reskilled in the next five years, reaching a target of 3 million workers.

Applicants must be legal entities established in the EU. The total size of funding is EUR 6 500 000. Read more at Pact for Skills.
