USAID Digital Invest Call for Concept Notes

Funds will mobilize private capital for internet connectivity and digital financial services in emerging markets.

As part of USAID’s Digital Invest program, grants ranging from $150,000 to $500,000 are available for private sector partners to launch or expand infrastructure projects supporting underserved consumers and businesses worldwide. The call for concepts closes April 15th.

As part of the Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership, Digital Invest projects will help promote an open, interoperable, reliable and secure internet. USAID indentifies two objectives for collaborations:

Objective 1: Support the sustainable growth and expansion of competitive internet service providers and related telecommunications infrastructure companies in emerging markets.

Objective 2: Support the sustainable growth and expansion of competitive and inclusive digital financial services in emerging markets.

Applying for this opportunity differs from the usual USAID grant application process. After meeting eligibility criteria, collaborators will email a partnership proposal to USAID before Feburary 15th, followed by an introductory call. Based on those interactions, USAID may invite concept notes for final review and funding.
