USAID Promoting Human Rights In Armenia

$10 million available to US or international organizations over 5 years, due June 21st.

Citing “human rights and fundamental freedoms in Armenia” USAID-Yerevan intends to fund one grantee to prevent and respond to human rights violations and enhance rights protections. Grantmakers envision the activity will improve legal and regulatory frameworks for human rights protections, leadning to strong legal and institutional guarantees of human rights in Armenia.

The notice of funding opportunity cites the legal and regulatory environment for human rights protections, institutions and oversight and access to human rights protections as parts of the problem this funding seeks to address. 

The objectives of the activity include: 

  • Legal and regulatory frameworks for human rights protection improved. 
  • Human rights institutions and oversight mechanisms strengthened. 
  • Public demand and access to human rights protection improved.
