USAID Zambia Climate Change

Acting on Climate Change Together funding opportunity closes October 28th.

USAID is seeking applications for one cooperative agreement, funded at up to $3.4 million, with a qualified entity to implement the program. The Notice of Funding Opportunity outlines three program objectives:

  • Develop and implement disability-inclusive school disaster risk mitigation plans
  • Increase enrollment and participation of children with disabilities (CwD) into schools to benefit from the protective factors of school settings, especially during disasters
  • To increase knowledge and climate action of children, including children with disabilities

USAID anticipates a period of performance of 3 years, with an estimated start date of February 15, 2025. Work plans, monitoring plans and the hiring of key personnel must be approved by USAID. Eligibility for this NOFO is not restricted, including organizations new to USAID and faith-based organizations.

A cost share of approximately 10%, or $340,000, is required. Funds can come from the grantee, other donors, governments or private businesses, and may include staff time, office space or other facilities.

To be eligible for this award, organizations must complete all System for Award Management requirements specific to this all. Those details can be found in Section D.6.g of the NOFO. Find out more at grants.gov.
