YouthBuild Pre-Apprenticeship Grants Available

75 projects at up to $1.5 million each will be funded for pre-apprenticeship education, occupational skills training and employment services.

A new round of YouthBuild grants is out now, with awards ranging from $700k to $1.5 million and due February 1st. Similar to previous rounds, this funding opportunity expands into additional in-demand industries with a component called Construction Plus.

Grantees will serve youth ages 16 to 24, preparing participants for quality infrastructure jobs while providing wrap-around services including mentoring trauma-informed care, counseling and transportation.

Public and private non-profit agencies and organizations are eligible to apply. Read about eligibility, the application process and more at grants.gov.

Applications are required to show a 25% match with a source other than federal funds, though there are some waivers for Tribal entities and others.

The period of performance is set at 40 months, including 4 months of planning and 12 months of follow-up.
